Paintings and designs to invoke a liminal space to dream and remember.

Alexi (Alexandra) Brueckner (b. 1979, Bronx, NY) is a New York-based artist and designer who focuses on the interpretations of her memories to create dream spaces in her paintings. She holds an undergraduate degree in Studio Art from NYU and a Masters degree in Art Therapy from The College of New Rochelle. Additional training in psychoanalysis was received from The Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center in addition to multiple workshops and trainings, including an Ericksonian Hypnosis course.

Alexi works within the field of mental health on an inpatient psychiatric unit where she is a clinical director. She also holds a small but special private psychotherapy practice that she cherishes. Ms. Brueckner spends her other time with her husband, her stepdaughter, her uncle, and the family cat, Rick, or alone making art and looking at interesting things in books and on the www.

Working in abstraction and, most recently, through depictions of flowers in addition to design, she hopes to invite the viewer into a state of reverie.
